Full disclosure, I am not Cuban and have never been to Cuba. So please take this advice with a grain of salt - I am simply explaining a cool way to smoke a cigar that my buddy showed me after his girlfriend vacationed in cuba for a week. I have tried it this way and it is fuckin’ great, been smoking all my stoges like this since he taught me how about a month ago.
So as the locals do it, grab a whisky glass, some whisky, and honey. Next step - drizzle the honey into your glass until it fills the bottom of the cup evenly. Now pour your whisky into the same cup about an inch high. Cut your cigar. Dip the cut side into the bottom of the glass soaking it in the whisky and giving it a good twist so some honey rubs onto it. Take it out, light the other end, and enjoy.
I like to keep the glass filled as I drink the whisky so I can occasionally add more honey and whisky to the cigar. It’s a unique way to enjoy a stoge and definitely adds to the ritual of smoking and chilling out. Give it a try, and take my word - you will enjoy it.
