Sacred Drinking Rituals: Thunderstruck

I’m going to go ahead make it known that this is one of the best pregame rituals ever created, and if you don’t agree, simply put - FUCK YOU. Why? Because standing in a circle and drinking/chugging beers to classic rock is literally as primal as it gets. Nothing, but you, your boys, ice cold beers, and tunage that is guaranteed to get you fuckin’ amped.

Firstly, AC/DC is great music to pregame to in general. A band with sound meant for getting you rowdy as hell. It gets you pregaming like you are a psychopathic rager, chugging beers like a maniac. Few genres of music can do this to a man.

Anyway, Thunderstruck gets increasingly intense as it goes on which only makes you more susceptible to getting excited for the night ahead. It’s all the anticipation for what’s to come rolled into one 5 minute anthem. The other thing is you are stuck wondering how many beers you will end up chugging versus your fellow raging brothers.

If you don’t know how to perform this amazing ritual here are the basic instructions…

# of Participants: 2 + As many as you want. We like to play with 4 or 5 max

Rules:

1. Turn on Thunderstruck by AC/DC at max volume
2. Stand in a circle with your buddies. Each participant takes turns chugging/drinking their beer/beers in a clockwise or counterclockwise manner, really doesn’t matter.
3. The first player begins chugging their ice cold brewski when the first word “thunder” is heard
4. Whenever the word ‘thunder’ or ‘thunderstruck’ is heard again the participant currently drinking stops, and the next participant in order must begin chugging their beer

So, you have 33 participant chugs in the game. Yes, that means ‘thunder’ is in the song 33 times. Each turn has different amounts of time and a few of these chugs are longer, so have a few beers ready.

Don’t be a nerd, this sacred pregame ritual is a good one when you don’t feel like playing beer pong or other commonplace drinking games. It’s also just under 5 minutes long, which is nice when you don’t have much time on your hands.
